In the historic mercantile city of Shikarpur, long known for its cultural and religious diversity, Pooj Udasin Samadha Ashram preserves a continuous Satguru lineage extending from the eighteenth century to the present day. The tradition took visible form in Shikarpur in 1776, when Satguru Baba Har Bhajan Sahib (first Patshahi) arrived Sindh from Punjab India and chose the city’s cremation ground as a place of meditation, renunciation and service.
From that austere beginning, the Ashram gradually became a spiritual home for generations of devotees. Each Satguru carried forward the same central discipline—remembrance of the Divine through Naam and service to creation through Seva—while responding to the needs of a different period. Some strengthened the inner life of the Ashram through silence, Satsang and hospitality. Others developed places of worship, bhandara, healthcare, education, gaushala and new centres for the Sangat across Sindh, Balochistan and India.
The seven Patshahis are not presented as isolated biographies. They form a connected history of Guru and disciple, predecessor and successor, service and continuity. The passing of the Gaddi was understood not merely as the transfer of an office, but as the continuation of spiritual responsibility: care for the Sangat, preservation of the Ashram’s practices, guidance through changing times, and service without discrimination.
The published Ashram history also preserves accounts of prophecies, visions, extraordinary experiences and blessings associated with the Satgurus. These accounts remain important to the devotional memory of the Sangat. On this website, they are presented respectfully as traditions preserved within Samadha Ashram, alongside the historical chronology of the lineage.

Hazoori Roop Suhina Satguru Baba Narayan Bhajan is the present Gadhinasheen of Pujiya Shree Samadha Ashram. Born to Dewan Narayan Das, he has been guiding the ashram and its devotees across Pakistan and India with love, devotion, and seva since 2008.
The history of Pooj Udasin Samadha Ashram is inseparable from its succession of seven Satgurus. Within the Samadha tradition, each period of spiritual leadership is known as a Patshahi. It represents not merely a span of administration, but the responsibility of preserving the teachings, devotional practices and seva established by the preceding Satguru.
The Satguru who carries this responsibility is known as the Gaddi Nasheen—the spiritual successor entrusted with guiding the Sangat and maintaining the continuity of the Ashram’s sacred lineage. Succession is therefore understood as the transfer of spiritual duty, institutional stewardship and care for the community from one Satguru to the next.
Although all seven Satgurus belong to one continuous Parampara, each responded to the needs of a different period. Some are remembered primarily for meditation and personal seva; others for scholarship, Satsang, Ashram development, social welfare or the expansion of Ashrams and Dhams. Their individual biographies allow visitors to understand these distinct contributions while also seeing how each Patshahi remained connected to the same enduring spiritual foundation.
