Pooj Udaseen Samadha Ashram is a revered spiritual and historical landmark located in the heart of Shikarpur, Sindh, Pakistan. Known for its deep spiritual roots and social contributions, the Ashram is a symbol of devotion, community service, and cultural preservation. Situated on a significant site—a cremation ground—it holds profound historical and spiritual importance for the local community and beyond.

The origins of the Samadha Ashram trace back to SatGuru Baba Har Bhajan Sahib, the First Pathshahi, who beyond Punjab to Sindh, crossed Sukkur and Rohri, and finally arrived at the cremation grounds of Shikarpur in 1776, traditionally used for Hindu cremations, this serene and sacred place became his sanctuary. Over time, Samadha Ashram became widely known across Sindh, drawing devotees from all communities and spiritual seekers.

Part of the Ashram is built on a cremation ground where Hindus traditionally cremate their departed loved ones. Despite the somber origins, this ground became a symbol of life’s transient nature, reminding visitors of mortality and the eternal journey of the soul.
